« A DiFFERENT WAY OF SEEING AFRiCA »

Africa on Stage is a project which aims at promoting Africa on both cultural and economic levels.

On 28 March 2007 for the second year of the project we organised a special day during which we had exhibition stands with sales of African goods and especially a hair plaiter, a publisher, exhibitions of African jewellery and artefacts, a clothes designer and well as some artists. The school was also decorated in African colours.
Furthermore, we organised meetings bringing together highly reputed contributors on the topics of telecommunications and banking. We were able to rely on the presence of contributors such as : M. Oswald Louéké (director of the Reseau Telecom magazine and chairman of the Africa Telecom Association), Mr. Michel Elamé (director of Celtel in the Democratic Republic of the Congo), Mr Raphaël N'tambue (former researcher at the CNRS and professor at the university of Bordeaux), Mr Guy Fleuret (head of the Africa and Middle East area at the World Bank in Marseille), just to mention a few...
Finally, to close the day, a dinner was organised during which African culinary specialities were served. There was also a fashion display, a dancing show and a raffle for which first prize was an air ticket to Senegal offered by our partner Air Senegal.
